I just read an article in the Dallas Morning News about a technical manager named Jim Rossman that talked about a problem his mother was having with her computer. It appears that she was getting a series of errors and there was a dialog box that would pop-up and prevent her from using her computer (so it seemed).  Jim stopped by his mom’s house and noticed a program running called Live Antispy and noticed that it was asking her to buy the full version.  So he moved the Live Antispy window out of the way so he could get to her desktop. Jim remember that he had purchased spyware doctor for his mom before so he knew that she did not need this new antispyware. Jim ran a scan and found appoximately 6 malware infections and this Live Antispy software was identified by spyware doctor as  malware. He finished the scan and allowed spyware doctor to remove the infections and rebooted her machine and everything went back to normal.
