Lexmark Optra m410 - A Wise Choice For The Office
The Lexmark Optra M410 is much like any other laser printer outwardly. In fact, the only difference that can be remarked upon is its height. This is considerably taller than most, which can make for easier operation if positioned on a low cabinet next to the desk. What also helps with its practicality is the slight reduction in depth of the product, allowing it to be more flush with the lines of the other furniture. The printer works best with Optra m410 toner cartridge.
Whilst relatively heavy at 40 pounds, it is surprisingly easy to move around. A single person should be able to cope without having to shout across the office for help. When having a rearrangement, or moving the Lexmark Optra M410 for maintenance, cleaning, or replacement of toner cartridge this could be a real plus for the owner. With an excellent control panel, and simple to use design, this really is a good product which will stand the test of time.
To set up the product, including installing all software and loading the toner should take no more than about fifteen or twenty minutes. Once set up, it is easy to get started with your printing too. The operating panel clearly displays a status summary for quick reference, whether ready to print, being out of paper, or the job selected.
The standard set up of the printer is very impressive too. The paper tray can hold up to 350 sheets, depending on which media type is used. Whilst paper jams are a problem with all printers, clearing these from the Lexmark Optra M410 is easy. The control panel points you to where the problem is straight away. The design of the cabinet and printing unit themselves also allow most issues to be resolved in a minute or so, no matter how badly ripped or torn the paper.
In the manufacturer’s original description, they claimed the printer would happily churn out up to 12 pages per minute, and up to 20,000 pages in a calendar month. Following tests, this was easily achieved. The quality of print too was high; with a resolution of 600×600 dots per inch, resulting in clear and sharp text, and excellent reproduction of images, graphs and photographs. Just make sure you use the right Optra m410 printer toner cartridge.
The Lexmark Optra M410 comes with a standard 4 MB of memory, and can be connected via parallel port or USB. The model is compatible with many operating systems, including MS-DOS and Macintosh. The media types able to use with the printer are extensive too; offering printing on standard paper, envelopes, labels and more.
Whilst the standard kit for the printer is of a very high quality, and should be enough for most small businesses or personal uses, the memory can be expanded up to 132 MB. The paper tray too can be added too, increasing the capacity by an extra 500 sheets.
Installation of the ten thousand page yield Lexmark Optra m410 toner cartridge was also simplicity itself. This is not surprising, considering the user friendliness of the printer itself and the ease of operation it demonstrates right from the get go.
