All smaller printers will have some installation issues from time to time, and for those that aren’t familiar with printers in general, it can be a pain. Optional Drawer Installation: Before you start the installation of the other drawer for the S2500 printer, you need to make sure that the power is off, the cord is unplugged, and that you have it disconnected from other cords as well. Simply follow the instructions that come with the drawer you have purchased (either the 250-sheet drawer or the 500-sheet drawer) and you will find that this is one of the easiest installations possible on any printer.

Memory Card Installation: If you need to install a memory card for your Dell S2500 printer, simply purchase the right one and you can easily install it on your own. When you are buying your card, you want to make sure that it has 100-pin connectors and that it is a printer card or a flash card. You want to make sure that you don’t have any static electricity built up as it can wipe out these cards, so touch something metal before you touch the card itself. Then, take the card out, open the top of the printer by using the latches on each side, and then push the memory card into place until you feel it “snap”. Now, close the top cover and you’re finished.

This is in English, and those that prefer it in another language can easily change this to fit their needs. There are several different overlays that you can change out really easily. Simply choose the right overlay you need, peel the backing off, and place it in line with the holes for the buttons on the panel. Press into place and you are done.

Side Cover Removal: If your Dell S2500 printer jams, or when you need to change out the S2500 Printer Cartridge, you want to remove this.  To do so, simply open the top front panel, open the multipurpose panel, and slide the side cover off the back. You will then have access to the cartridges, paper jams, or even memory cards.

Removing the Shield: Under the side cover on the Dell S2500 printer is the shield that you might have to remove from time to time. After you have removed the side cover, you simply loosen the six screws that you will find under the cover, but don’t completely take them out. Then, slide the shield over toward the left until the screws fit into some tiny holes on the cover. Once they do, you will be able to pull the shield out.
